Dear Helen, I want to thank you so much for the work you did for my Auntie after I referred you to my cousin to help sort my Auntie’s affairs. I’m close to these two people and I wanted to make sure that they got the best solution to a challenging situation – I knew I could trust you implicitly to help them.
My Auntie is 80 and needed to be guided gently through the process of sorting her Lasting Powers of Attorney and a Trust for her property – in case she had to go into care. She also wanted a Funeral Plan to ensure that as much as possible was sorted and that her daughters wouldn’t have those things to think about at a difficult time when she eventually passes.
I know from my own experience that this help and advice from a specialist is crucial. When I was sorting my mum’s affairs out, I didn’t know about trusts. I went to a solicitor, who gave my what I asked for – 2 LPA’s. If I had known you then, you would have advised a trust and my mum’s lovely little flat wouldn’t have to be sold to pay for care fees. You live and learn.
You did a brilliant job and Joyce loves you. You helped and guided her through what she needed. Her two daughters are really grateful that this is in order to assist them when the difficult time comes. Joyce can difficult at times with her daughters but she went with the whole process with you.
